- It also helps in stretching the muscles of your lower back
- SINGLE-LEG ELONGATION exercise can be used in treating three-curve scoliosis.
- You have to perform this exercise only on the involved or affected side.
HOW TO DO SINGLE LEG ELONGATION EXERCISE?
- Lie down on your back with your feet wide apart approximately to hip-width and your arms by your sides, palms facing the ground.
- Keep your arms by your sides and pull your normal or unaffected leg up at the hip towards you in order to shorten it.
- Stretch the side of your lower back and your hip joint to elongate the affected leg.
- Try to hold the position for 5-7 seconds and then relax.
- Repeat SINGLE-LEG ELONGATION exercise for 1 set of 5 reps, only on this affected side.
- Gradually increase the number of sets after few days when you become comfortable with the exercise
