ROLL DOWN STRETCH EXERCISE

  • Roll Down Stretch exercise is a very beneficial stretch for your neck, but it should be performed correctly by keeping your head back and your chin tucked in as you roll your head down. 
  • This movement makes sure that you stretch your entire neck, and not just the lower part of your neck, along with your upper back. 
  • Roll Down Stretch exercise is recommended if you have postural pain and tension headaches.

ROLL DOWN STRETCH EXERCISE AND BENEFITS

HOW TO PERFORM ROLL DOWN STRETCH EXERCISE?

  1. Sit slightly forward on a chair and place your feet flat on the floor
  2. Clasping your hands behind your head try to press your head back into clasped hands.
  3. Looking diagonally upward, gently lift your gaze. 
  4. Lift your chest and pull your elbows up and out as you stretch up.
  5. While tucking your chin into your neck, roll your head downward to look at your chest. 
  6. Hold this position for 15 seconds, then return to the start position.
  7. This exercise stretches your whole neck and opens up your chest.
  8. Perform 3-5 repetition at a time
