NEURAL GLIDE EXERCISE

  • Neural Gliding exercise, also known as “flossing,” is a beneficial exercise to relieve the neural tension in your spine and legs. 
  • Perform this exercise gently and don’t push yourself too hard while starting off — the range of movement develops eventually.
  • Neural Glide Exercise also helps to relieve painful symptoms caused by irritated or compressed nerves. 
  • General strength and flexibility can also be built up by Nerve flossing exercises.

NEURAL GLIDE EXERCISE AND BENEFITS

HOW TO PERFORM NEURAL GLIDE EXERCISE?

  1. Starting position should be sitting on a chair, with your back straight and spine lengthened, and your arms tucked behind your back, with your hands resting on the chair.
  2. Slump or bend forward and down as shown, such that your spine is rounded and your neck is flexed.
  3. Lift and straighten your left leg as far as is comfortable and, simultaneously, lift your head. 
  4. Hold the position for 5 seconds and repeat for 3 times.
  5. Return to the position described in point 2 and repeat with your right leg.
